Spread the love

A popular choice among bloggers, Blogger has gained a lot of user base in recent times. Google, acting as the host for the blogs that people make on Blogger. Blogger also provides domain and subdomain services to its customers. If you have ever used Blogger, you must remember that after your website URL, blogspot.com is there. Although it provides the option of removing this subdomain with an original domain. But, for that, you need to spend money and buy a domain first with hosting services. This is why it is a common choice among users to use free Blogger and first build a platform of fans or audience.

But a major problem in this approach is when someone scrolls down your blog website. The ‘powered by blogger’ attribution under every blog website is a big headache. It not only leads to showcasing an incomplete blog. But, also a blog that is not independent. This is why you should know how to remove the attribution. Or, at least, make your website in such a way that it does not hamper its look.

First Method:

 1. First, sign in to your blogger account by opening this webpage. On the right top corner, you would see the option. In case you do not have a blog, you can also create one.

 1. Next, this webpage would open. Here, there are no posts because this is a sample blog for this article.

 1. Now, you need to scroll and find through the option of ‘Layout’. It is here in this section that you will find the first method of changing the attribution of your blog. You will find it as the sixth option on the left side of the list of options. If you do not find the list, click on the three lines on the top left corner of the webpage.

 1. Next, all you need to do is scroll through and find the tab of ‘Footer’ in the list of options on the right. Here, under the footer tab, you will see ‘Attribution’ and ‘Attribution Gadget’ written.

 1. In the last and final webpage that opens via redirecting, you would see this. Here you will see that writing your copyright attribution is possible. It means that apart from ‘Powered by Blogger, you can with ease make your attribution viewed. In the space given, you can write a copyright message. For example, ‘All rights reserved. You can also mention the powered by attribute of your own.

Second Method:

 1. Next, you need to click on the option of ‘Theme’ given in the list of options on the left. In another drop-down menu that opens, spot the last option ‘Edit HTML’. When you do so, you would be able to edit the HTML code of the webpages of your blog.

From here, the process is quite easy. All you need to do is, find this code given in inverted commas: “]]></b: skin>”. Once you see this, you need to add the following code given in inverted commas. It is “#Attribution1{display:none;}”. Once you do this, the powered by blogger attribute would no longer be there.
