Birth Announcement
On May 8, 2003, the Ministry of the Royal Household, Protocol and Chancellery
announced the birth at the Royal Palace in Rabat of a baby boy whom His Majesty King Mohammed VI named Moulay El Hassan, as a tribute to the memory of his
august grandfather, late HM Hassan II.
Baccalaureate Achievement
In July 2020, HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan obtained the baccalaureate “international option”, field “Economic and Social Sciences” with “first-class” honors (mention très bien).
Opening Ceremony of 35th AFCON-Morocco 2025
His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan chaired, on Sunday at the “Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium” in Rabat, the opening ceremony of the 35th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON-Morocco 2025) which runs in the Kingdom until January 18th.
Upon his arrival to the “Prince Moulay Abdellah” Stadium, HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan reviewed a section of the Royal Guard that paid the honors,
before being greeted by the minister of National Education, Preschool, and Sports, Mohamed Saâd Berrada, the president of the Moroccan National Olympic Committee, Fayçal Laraichi, FIFA president, Gianni Infantino, the president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Patrice Motsepe, and the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, Fouzi Lekjaa.
HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan was also greeted by the wali of the
Rabat-Salé-Kenitra region, governor of the Rabat prefecture, Mohamed Yacoubi, the president of the Regional Council, Rachid El Abdi, the president of the Communal Council of Rabat, Fatiha El Moudni, the president of the Prefectural Council of Rabat, Abdelaziz Driouich, the director general of the National Agency for Public Facilities (ANEP), Zineb Benmoussa.
HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan was also greeted by Said Lakhda, CEO of the Rabat Sports Infrastructure Company (INSPORA), which manages the Prince
Moulay Abdellah Stadium, Mattias Grafström, Secretary General of FIFA, Véron Mosengo-Omba, Secretary General of CAF, and members of the FRMF.
His Royal Highness the Crown Prince then joined the Royal Box to attend the
opening ceremony of the Africa Cup of Nations, marked by colorful performances, including tributes to the unity, identity and unwavering resilience of African football. It was an immersive and choreographed journey where light was the
common thread connecting cultures, generations, and dreams, as well as a
celebration of “Morocco, Land of Football” and Africa as a continent that embraces its diversity with strength and pride.
FIFA President, Gianni Infantino, delivered an address in which he expressed his thanks to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, “for having
welcomed us in Morocco.”
CAF president, Patrice Motsepe, expressed, on behalf of CAF and its member Federations, his thanks to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, and to HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan. He also expressed his gratitude to
Moroccans for their love of football, welcoming African and international fans. “We in Africa are committed to making football a unifying force for people,” he said,
adding that Morocco and Africa showed the world what they are capable of during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Motsepe then officially declared the 35th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations-Morocco 2025 open.
After a brief rest at the Royal Lounge, HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan
returned to the Royal Box to watch the opening match of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco between the Moroccan national team and its Comorian counterpart.
HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan then gave the symbolic kickoff of the match. His Royal Highness the Crown Prince then returned to the Royal Box to watch the match, which ended in a 2-0 victory for the Moroccan national team.

Ceremony in Honor of U-20 National Football Team, World Champions
On the High Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, chaired, on Wednesday at the Royal Palace in Rabat, a ceremony offered by the Sovereign in honor of the members of the U-20 national football team, following their triumph in the 2025 World Cup organized in Chile.
On this occasion, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince was greeted by the
president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, Fouzi Lekjaa, the national team head coach, Mohamed Ouahbi and the members of the national team, before posing for a souvenir photo. A tea ceremony was subsequently held in honor of the U-20 national team members.
This reception highlights the Utmost Care which His Majesty the King, may God assist Him, has always granted to youth empowerment and supporting its
flourishing through sport and the special attention that the Sovereign grants to this sector in general and to football in particular.
2025 Longines Global Champions Tour Rabat Grand Prix
His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan chaired, on Sunday, the 2025 Longines Global Champions Tour Rabat Grand Prix, a prestigious competition that bolsters Morocco’s standing as a key player in the international equestrian calendar.
Upon his arrival to the equestrian village, HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan was received by Moulay Abdellah Alaoui, President of the Royal Moroccan
Equestrian Federation, before reviewing a section of the Royal Guard who made the honors.
HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, then, proceeded to the Princely Lounge to follow the final round of the high-level equestrian competition. Following the final, HRH the Crown Prince presented the 2025 Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix to the Monegasque horsewoman Anastasia Nielsen, who achieved the first place in the rankings, while the 2nd and 3rd place were respectively earned by the Danish Andreas Schou and the Irish Denis Lynch. His Royal Highness the Crown Prince later posed for a souvenir photo with the three winners.
For the second time, Rabat hosted the 15th stage of the 2025 Longines Global Champions Tour from October 17 to 19, bringing together the world’s top-ranked Longines riders. The Rabat stage, held after those organized in cities such as Doha, Madrid, Shanghai, London, New York, Paris, and Rome.
16th Edition of the El Jadida Horse Show
His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan chaired, on Monday at the
Mohammed VI Exhibition Center, the opening ceremony of the 16th edition of the El Jadida Horse Show, which runs until October 6 under the theme “Horse Welfare, a Link Between Equestrian Practices.”
Upon arrival to the Exhibition Center, HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan was received by Moulay Abdellah Alaoui, president of the Royal Moroccan Equestrian Federation (FRMSE), before reviewing a section of the Royal Guard who paid the honors. His Royal Highness Crown Prince was then greeted by the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forests, Ahmed El Bouari, the Wali of the Casablanca-Settat region, Governor of the Casablanca prefecture, Mohamed Mhidia, the President of the Regional Council, Abdellatif Maazouz, and the Governor of the province of El Jadida, Mhamed Atfaoui.
HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan then visited the various villages at the Show dedicated to sponsors, institutions, breeders, crafts, international affairs, art and culture, and the regions of the Kingdom, as well as an area reserved for children
and designed to introduce them to the Kingdom’s rich equestrian heritage.
His Royal Highness then attended, at the main arena, shows, artistic performances and equestrian acrobatics performed by Moroccan and foreign troops and riders. Subsequently, HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan headed to the Tbourida arena where he followed fantasia shows hosted by 18 Sorbas representing the different regions of the Kingdom. On this occasion, His Royal Highness posed for a souvenir photo with the Moqaddems of these Sorbas.
HM King Mohammed VI Grand Prix in Show Jumping
HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan chaired, Sunday afternoon at the
Mohammed VI Exhibition Park in El Jadida, the award ceremony of HM King
Mohammed VI Grand Prix in show jumping, organized as part of the final of the 14th edition of the Morocco Royal Tour CSI 4*W, an international competition held within the framework of the 16th edition of the Horse Show.
Upon his arrival at the Mohammed VI Exhibition Park, HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan was greeted by Moulay Abdellah Alaoui, President of the Horse Show
Association, before reviewing a detachment of the Royal Guard that rendered honors.

Subsequently, HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan proceeded to Arena A of the Mohammed VI Exhibition Park and headed for the VIP stand from where His Royal Highness attended the events of HM King Mohammed VI Grand Prix, won by Irish rider Tim Brennan riding “Diadema Della Caccia” at the end of the second round, which saw the participation of 11 riders representing 9 countries, namely Morocco, Ireland, Egypt, Portugal, the Netherlands, France, Italy, Saudi Arabia, and Poland.
Following this competition, organized under the aegis of the International
Equestrian Federation and the Royal Moroccan Federation for Equestrian Sports, HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan presented the Grand Prix to the winner.
HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan also presented prizes to the four riders who took the following places in the ranking, namely in order: Moroccan El Ghali
Boukaa riding “A Kyss”, Egyptian Mouda Zeyada riding “If Looks Could Kill O.H”, Portuguese Molly Hughes Bravo riding “Hhs Tokyo”, and Dutch rider.
HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan then posed for a souvenir photo with the prize-winning riders. The Morocco Royal Tour is a landmark event on the
international equestrian calendar. It is an international show jumping circuit held in three stages in three different cities: Tetouan (September 18-21), Rabat (September 24-28), and El Jadida (October 02-05). The 3rd stage of the 14th
Morocco Royal Tour featured riders representing 17 nations. National Operation “Ramadan 1446”
On March 3, 2025, and On High Instructions by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan and Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Khadija launched, in Rabat, the “Ramadan 1446” national operation, initiated by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity.
Representing His Majesty the King at Official Funeral of Late French President Jacques Chirac
On September 30, 2019, HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan represented HM King Mohammed VI at the official funeral of the late French President Jacques
Chirac, which took place at the Saint-Sulpice Church in Paris. On the same day, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince took part, at the Elysée Palace, in the lunch
offered by the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, in honor of the Heads of State and Government present at the funeral of the late President Jacques Chirac.
Installation of New Members of the Academy of the Kingdom of Morocco
His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan presided over the installation session of the new members of the Academy of the Kingdom of Morocco, on the
occasion of the opening of the first session of this prestigious institution in its new configuration.
This session was marked by a Message from His Majesty King Mohammed VI to the members of the Academy of the Kingdom of Morocco, read out by the Academy’s
permanent secretary, Abdeljalil Lahjomri.
On his arrival at the headquarters of the Academy of the Kingdom of Morocco, HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan was greeted by Abdeljalil Lahjomri. After reviewing a Royal Guard detachment that made the honors, HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan was greeted by the Wali of the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region,
Mohamed Yacoubi, president of the regional Council, Rachid El Abdi, the Academy’s executive director, Bachir Tamer, the Academy’s deputy permanent secretary, Mohamed Kettani, as well as by Rahma Bourqia, chairwoman of sessions at the Academy, and Mustapha Zebakh, the Academy’s Rapporteur.
