Defne Cizakca

Defne Cizakca‘s work appears in By Invitation Only: A Collection of Short Stories. She lives just underneath the bridge (see her story) in the company of domestic street cats and dogs, in a tiny neighbourhood called Chrysokeramus. Though she comes from the East of the Mediterranean, she currently resides in Glasgow. She can be found dotting the cafes of both cities, whether it be magnolia season or storm of snow. She paints, works with refugees, reads coffee cups and flies to weddings. She is also completing her PhD in Creative Writing at the University of Glasgow.
